"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
Pleasantview Baptist Church exists...
To take the divine resources given by God through his Living Word, the gifts of God given to his people, and by the power of God given through his Holy Spirit, making and maturing disciples for Jesus Christ, both at home and around the world. This will be accomplished through means that are biblical, practical, ethical, and relative to the present days.
PBC is proud of its heritage. For more than 60 years, God has been using this church to reach individuals with the life-changing Gospel of Jesus both here in our area as well as nations around the world.
In 1945, the church was founded in south Ft. Worth as the Trentman Avenue Baptist Church, located on Trentman Avenue. For the first 40 years, the church served that community and began its global outreach.
In the mid 1980’s the church relocated to its present location and changed the name to Pleasantview Baptist Church. Under the leadership of Pastor Bill Moffitt, property was purchased and the original building was built. The core group from Trentman Avenue was the human foundation of the powerful work of God that is now PBC.
In 2009, the church called Jimmy McNeil as pastor. Since that time, God has continued to grow His church. Lives have been changed, buildings have been built, ministries have been started, missions giving increased and missionaries sent, staff added, additional property purchased, and an incredible vision for the future is in place.
PBC is grateful for a rich heritage and excited about the potential of a greater future.
